I just thought, beedrill could have 5types : bug, poison, steel, flying and dark. What kind of Pokemon could get 5 types?

Gyarados also could be quadruple typed

To be fair, Alder was designed to be weak. He's the champion not because he's the strongest, but because he's like a sage.

Bruno having an onyx I could understand for two reasons 1) obvious anime connection 2) it was an instant answer to the obvious weakness his team had, which was flying. With that being said. Yeah, he should have switched out one of them for a primeape or politwrath. Although I lean more towards primeape because politwrath is instantly weak to two of the three gen one starters while neutral to one.

Is it too soon to include Blueberry League Elite 4?

Hassel is the best Elite 4, simply because he is probably one of the first male authority figures proud of the Main Character. More of a father figure than all of the previous MCs Milk shoppers combined.

Water is my favorite type, although I do prefer dual-types cuz it makes it easier to cover more types. So if I was to have a mono Water-type team I'd have all them be dual-typed, preferably ones that can counter Water's admitably few weaknesses, so only Grass and Electric.

I played hoenn many times with water only and it is easy, even against the Twins.

I am guessing Electric is next I know Unova can rank well cause of White 2 think about it: a Mareep before first gym, Elekid before 2nd in white 2, ALSO before 2nd is Magnemite which can completely wall Roxie. Not to mention other leaders like Skyla, Marlon, members of Iris Team. Clay is the one tough battle imo.

I do wonder where the indigo disk elite 4 would I doubt the top but I don't believe rock bottom, then again their teams are design for 2v2 so I guess that can hinder them.

While each of these names that I've tried renaming aren't terrible, I wanted to give a go at this & did 1 for every gen. I've doubts that mine are better than the originals tho. Charizard: Charagon (char, dragon) definitely feels less cool sounding than the real name, but the words joined together flow better & it'd make all the man children even angrier why it isn't part Dragon-type. Girafarig: Safarigirafas (safari, giraffe; a palindrome). It actually crosses the 12-letter limit all names have followed to this day, so it can't work with that current restriction applied. Still happy that I came up with it in the 1st place. Sharpedo: Ruffin (rough, fin, Rough Skin ability) it's a reference to a character from another franchise & its Shiny makes this even more perfect. Cherrim: Cherrimerri (🍒, merry, Cheri Berry, & Merry Christmas🎄 sorta) Beartic: Beardash (bear, beard, dash alluding to Slush Rush) Delphox: Brancherry (branch, 🍒 denoting the outgrown red fur) Salazzle: Ampheromo (amphibian, pheromone, mo-o) Polteageist: Livessoul (a soul living inside a vessel, a teapot) Annihilape: Apextrminate/exterminapex (ape, apex, exterminate)

what frustrates me about Geeta is the fact that there was a plethora of other powerhouses she could have used that we might not have encountered at that point. She could have had a Gholdengo or palafin on her team which coincide with the mechanics of the game like exploration and multiplayer, and she could have had armourouge or ceruledge depending on the version (armourouge in violet and ceruledge in scarlet since you would most likely have their version's counterpart). that would have made her team very cool.

Even before the DLC they knew Geeta was such a fraud that they went actually Nemona, Sada, Turo, and Arwen are also champions. And Nemona swept her so bad that she became disillusioed until she meets you recognizes your potential and makes an entirely new team.

I'd honesty say Hoenn (particularly RSE since I'm more familiar with them) would be the easiest games for a mono water team especially with mudkip since there's barely any trainers with grass coverage to take out Swampert or Whiscash.

I hope that Bug type is next, since it is also a pretty early type.

Funnily enough, when my girlfriend did a casual playthrough of Shield, at one point her team was Thwackey/Gossifleur/Steenee/Cherubi/Applin 😂

One thing you can do for Sofaciles is alola is get the in game trade/catch a Barboach an have a Wiscash to be immune to electric.

Been waiting for this one! I was wondering where Hoenn was going to fall on this list, no surprise it's toward the top. I know I've mentioned my Water monotype team in Sapphire but maybe I should try that in Alola too, I had no idea there were so many options that I can probably create 2 full teams of Water types.

I actually feel like Water types have become more difficult to obtain lately. It might be my bias but with how they disposed of the rods in recent games and how nerfed it was in Alola (only able to be used in certain spots). I feel like that blocks most water types until you get surf and that has become one of the latest substitute for HM’s. Also any clue what type you are considering next?

I especially like Hoenn (well, Sapphire/Emerald) for this because the starting trio of Swampert, Pelipper and Ludicolo shares no weaknesses. Water/Ground famously has its single quadruple weakness to Grass, Water/Flying takes super effective damage only from Rock and Electric, and Water/Grass cancels out *both* of Water's weaknesses in exchange for having 3 out of Grass' 5 weaknesses in Bug, Flying and Poison. You're not even past the first *trainer* and you've got your defensive coverage dealt with already!
